Bringing Legacy Firefighting Equipment Back to Life: Electronic Revamping & Retrofitting

What happens when emergency vehicles and mission-critical aerial platforms face a lack of OEM support due to manufacturer acquisitions, brand handovers or strategic discontinuations? They don’t need to become obsolete. We make them safer, more reliable and precisely controllable.

Electronic revamping for discontinued fire-fighting fleets: MPC113, MSC113, digital joysticks and displays

The problem

Corporate buyouts, brand handovers and shifts in business decisions leave many fire-fighting vehicles and platforms without official support, and their users struggle to find parts and technical service for their fleets.

Our approach

As specialists in heavy machinery automation, we perform standards-based electronic revamping and retrofitting for aging global-brand fire-fighting vehicles, including legacy platforms originally built by major European and international manufacturers.

Our core solutions

  • Standard-compliant retrofit: full upgrade of analog systems into modern digital architectures designed to international safety standards (SIL2/PLd-targeted design)
  • Extended operational life: restoring machinery abandoned by original manufacturers due to corporate buyouts or shifts in business decisions
  • Precision control: fully renewed proportional valve driving, state-of-the-art sensor integration and advanced operator interfaces

Proven international track record

With successful international revamping references already deployed abroad, we provide definitive solutions for end-users, municipalities, civil defense authorities and technical service firms who struggle to find official support for their legacy fleets.

Who is it for?

Whether you manage fleets in Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East or the Arab States, don’t let a lack of manufacturer support compromise public safety. Contact us to learn more about our global references and how we can modernize your mission-critical machinery.

Scope and responsibility

We define the limits of a revamping project up front:

  • EHR Elektronik is not the machine manufacturer: we design and commission the control system and prepare its technical documentation.
  • The party making the substantial modification takes on the manufacturer’s obligations (CE conformity, technical file).
  • At the request of the inspection body, we prepare only the technical documents related to the control system.
  • Structural risks such as metal fatigue and structural inspection are outside our scope.
  • User documentation is delivered in English and Turkish.

Frequently asked questions

Who is responsible for CE conformity and the technical file after a revamping?

The party making the substantial modification takes on the manufacturer’s obligations (CE conformity, technical file). EHR Elektronik is not the machine manufacturer: we design and commission the control system and prepare its technical documentation.

Does the revamping include structural inspection?

No. Structural risks such as metal fatigue and structural inspection are outside our scope. At the request of the inspection body, we prepare only the technical documents related to the control system.

In which languages is the user documentation delivered?

User documentation is delivered in English and Turkish.
