CAT 374 NG: From Diesel to Electric, Commissioned Remotely

CAT 374 NG diesel-to-electric conversion: MOBA display, controllers and A4U device

Converting a new-generation Caterpillar 374 NG into a fully electric powerhouse is never simple. Doing it remotely, without being on site, makes the challenge even greater.

The challenge

As a new-generation model, the CAT 374 NG integrates advanced systems such as emission control and numerous engine-related details.

  • Removing the diesel engine
  • Eliminating complex fault codes
  • Adapting the machine to a new electric drive

The solution

Thanks to the close cooperation and dedication of Delcotec engineers, together with our own experience at EHR Elektronik, we commissioned the machine entirely remotely. We stood by our customer Multidocker every step of the way and ensured on-time delivery.

Remote intelligence

With the integrated MOBA A4U device, the machine exported to South Africa can now be monitored in real time:

  • Full diagnostic data
  • Location tracking
  • Remote access for intervention when needed
